The Roadmap
Live Soil Living soil is a term used in organic farming, including cannabis cultivation, that refers to soil that has active microbial ecosystems. This kind of soil system has microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi, protozoa, and nematodes, which play a crucial role in the nutrient cycle, essential for plant growth.
Here's why living soil is beneficial, particularly in cannabis production:
Nutrient Availability: The microorganisms in living soil break down organic matter, making nutrients available to the cannabis plants in a form that they can absorb. This natural process can reduce or eliminate the need for synthetic fertilizers.
Root Health: The symbiotic relationships between plant roots and soil microbes can enhance root health and structure, improving water and nutrient uptake.
Natural Pest Resistance: Healthy soil fosters strong plants that are better able to resist pests and diseases, which is especially important for cannabis plants that are often grown without pesticides.
Improved Flavor and Potency: Many growers believe that living soil contributes to producing cannabis with better flavor profiles and higher cannabinoid content due to the rich, natural environment the plants are grown in.
Sustainability: Living soil practices are sustainable, as they build soil health over time. Unlike methods that rely heavily on chemical inputs, living soil becomes more fertile and robust with each grow cycle.
Water Efficiency: Living soil has improved structure and water retention capabilities, which reduces the amount of water needed for healthy plant growth.
Using living soil in cannabis cultivation typically involves a few key practices:
Composting: Composting organic matter creates rich humus that replenishes the soil with beneficial microorganisms and nutrients.
Cover Crops: Growing cover crops can protect the soil, fix atmospheric nitrogen, and provide organic matter for microorganisms.
No-Till Farming: Disturbing the soil as little as possible preserves the microbial habitats, maintaining the soil's structure and nutrient cycles.
Mulching: Applying mulch helps retain moisture, suppresses weeds, and provides a steady supply of organic matter as it decomposes.
Biodiversity: Encouraging a variety of plant life supports a more complex soil ecosystem, which can enhance the health and resilience of cannabis plants.
By maintaining a living soil ecosystem, cannabis growers aim to produce high-quality, environmentally friendly cannabis while fostering soil health and biodiversity.

The Grand Atrium
Our first objective is the design, construction, and inauguration of The Loch Ness Botanical Society's Grand Atrium in Angel Fire, NM. The Perrenial Waters Collection will require a facility that can house 4,200 plants. We are working with consulting partners to ensure that our grow floor and process meet the highest standards using the latest in horticultural technology.
Design & Construction: 12-18 months
Perrenial Waters Collection: Our first NFT collection will allow you to sponsor the cultivation process for one cannabis plant. As a sponsor, you are entitled to a base 20% of the yield of every plant that is ever planted in your sponsored grow spot (must meet NM state eligibility requirements for cannabis use). Since we are developing an entirely hydroponic workflow, you will essentially have a spot in the grow room where a single plant may vegetate and flower.
Commercial Production: In order to generate ongoing revenue for TLNBS to maintain Grand Atrium operations, we will utilize our share of the yield to produce our own brand of cannabis products. The commercial aspects of TLNBS will scale independently of the PWC yet we will continue to improve the experience and benefits the PWC provides.
Ongoing Revenue Share: PWC NFT holders will be able to benefit from the commercial operations of TLNBS through the allocation of a portion of our profits to a special community-moderated fund, The Graine Ledger Treasury. Some ideas for what the community funds may be used include community investments, loans, events, etc.
Community involvement: We want our community to benefit from this endeavor. As former college student ourselves we know the costs financially
Estimated Duration: 1 - 2 Years
The Farm
From the very beginning, we will be looking to acquire a large parcel of land or a parcel that has adjacent parcels that may remain available to us in the future. Once the grow operation is commercially operational, we will begin developing the remaining land for cultivation of our own outdoor, mountain-grown (MG) cannabis, and eventually vegetables, fruits, and herbs of all varieties. The farm will not be tuned for yield but for quality, using eco-friendly processes.
Development: 12 months
First Harvest: 4 - 6 Months
Vegetable Patch Established
Estimated Duration: 1-2 Years
Complete PWC Customization
Our greatest ambition with this project is to allow cannabis lovers to design their own strains through our grow operation while having as granular control over the process as possible. The degree of customization available to PWC Grow Spot sponsors will be as comprehensive as possible. We hope to utilize the latest in genetic sequencing and editing technology to enable this degree of customization and make it available to PWC members in perpetuity.
Estimated Launch: Year 3
The Lodge & Restaurant
Although the timeline from this point onwards is a bit more speculative as of now, the scaling of our operation should easily allow for the establishment of an onsite lodge and restaurant. The Loch Ness Lodge & Restaurant will be open to public but also provide special access to our American Genesis Members. Guests at the lodge will be invited to tour our grow and farm. Our restaurant would be available by reservation only and would only serve dishes that use produce grown on our farm. The dimensions and amenities of the Lodge & Restaurant are yet undecided.
Estimated Launch: Year 4
The Resort
We would like to consolidate all our various operations into a resort experience including our very own 18-hole golf course, recreational facilities, and equestrian facility. Our highest priority will always be our Perennial Waters Members who would receive unparalleled access and treatment. Our vision for a community-driven operation and the success of just one commercial product can make this all possible and potentially even more.
Estimated Launch: Year 6
The Loch Ness Botanical Society Colorado, Washington, & Beyond
Once we are able to prove the viability of our vision, we will work to emulate it in other states with cannabis legalization. Each such project will begin producing its own localized PWC collection. Former PWC Grow Spot sponsors will be given limited but exclusive access to the whitelist for these future collections. We hope to continue to grow organically and prosperously along with a vibrant community with whom we may share our prosperity.
